Dean Albert - Director of Finance


A key focus of the Administration and Finance team is to strengthen and build the organization’s management capacity by creating inter-program synergy and cohesiveness. For the fiscal year 2012-2013 administration will lead the implementation of planning processes to help our organization attain peak performance and maximum results. Administration and Finance business objectives will consolidate Ahtahkakoop’s political and organizational goals and objectives, improve accountability and transparency and most importantly bring people together towards a common vision.







  • Facilitate the administrative and financial strategic goals of Chief and Council.
  • Lead, facilitate and implement the five core management integrated strategic objectives.
  • Refine, develop, promote and implement human resources excellence practices within all program and service functions.
  • Assess, identify and implement learning, training and technology requirements to ensure the organization builds competencies and    capacity to accommodate future change and growth.
  • Implement continuous business process improvement in organizational structure, financial and activity reporting systems.
  • Conduct an analysis of current financial sources and trends and develop a plan to enhance and grow a future balanced and diverse    revenue stream.
  • Work with Chief and Council on key governance objectives.
  • Work with primary funding agency to enhance existing funding protocol.
  • Consider all essential elements of a communications protocol to engage and inform membership.
  • Develop a lands, resources trusts program framework.
